Katherine A. Rich

is the Owner and Managing Partner of the Northside Law Firm and has been practicing law since graduating from Indiana University School of Law in 2001. Her dream has always been to help families from all over the state successfully navigate serious family law matters. After working for large sought-after practices for many years, Kathy decided to open her own firm in 2021.

Kathy believes the key to her successful representation of her clients is her ability to have the knowledge and preparation necessary to aggressively represent her clients in court while also having the ability to problem-solve and reach creative solutions to avoid the necessity of a hearing, if possible.

Kathy is a Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the Family Law Certification Board of the Indiana State Bar Association. She was named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star in 2010-2013, 2015, and 2016.

Kathy has extensive experience representing clients at both the state and appellate court level in all aspects of family law, including adoptions (child and adult), child support establishment and arrearages, cohabitation agreements, custody proceedings, divorce and legal separation, domestic partnership agrements, grandparent custody and visitation, guardianships, jurisdictional matters involving child support, custody, and parenting time, modification proceedings (custody, parenting time and child support), paternity actions, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and protective orders.

Kathy is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations. She serves as a volunteer guardian ad litem, ensuring children have legal representation in contentious court cases. Kathy is one of the authors of the book, Navigating Adoption and Surrogacy Laws: Leading Lawyers on Recent Trends and Best Practices for Nontraditional Family-Building Cases (Inside the Minds).

Jessie Cobb-Dennard

Jessie Cobb-Dennard is a Partner at The Northside Law Firm after joining the firm at the beginning of 2021. A Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the Family Law Certification Board, Jessie has dedicated and committed her career to serving clients when they are dealing with the most important aspects of their lives – their family and their money. She empathetically understands the emotional toll that this time takes on a client, and she allows her clients the opportunity to focus on themselves and their children while she navigates the legal challenges for them.

Having been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for several years, Jessie has over a decade of experience in family law and has handled cases in both the trial and appellate courts in all areas of family law – dissolution, paternity, custody, parenting time, child support, adoptions, guardianships, grandparent visitation, prenuptial agreements, protective orders, and DCS/CHINS. In addition, she is also a Guardian Ad Litem, Parenting Coordinator, and Registered Domestic Relations Mediator.

Jessie was recently hired by MTV reality star Andrew Glennon.

Ms. Cobb-Dennard takes pride in maintaining relationships with and giving back to the people in her community. She provides services to those in need through the help of organizations such as the Kids’ Voice of Indiana and the Hamilton County GAL Program, she is an active member of the Westfield Rocks Referrals Group, and she is a board member and governance committee chair for Constructing Our Future, an organization that provides transitional housing and wrap-around services for formerly incarcerated women.

Alexus Conboy

Alexus completed her undergraduate studies from Indiana University where she earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. Alexus continued her education at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana. Throughout her studies, Alexus was the chair the of IU Student Outreach Clinic and vice-chair of the First-Generation Law Student Society where she completed over 150 hours of pro bono work.
Alexus dedicates her practice on the area of family law, where she provides support with divorce, separation, child custody, child support, paternity, and adoption. Alexus is qualified to practice in all Indiana state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Michelle Ritchey

is the Office Manager for The Northside Law Firm.  She brings over 16 years of administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, and Accounting.  She assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures; manages and overseas the administration practices within the firm, and maintains accounts payable, receivables, and monthly billing.  Michelle is born and raised in Indiana.  She graduated from Purdue University in 2006.  Many of her years were spent in manufacturing which offers a new insight to the daily operations within the firm to continually improve.  After having a couple of very close family members go through the divorce and custody processes, she realized she has a true passion for helping people maneuver through trying times that family law can present.

Michelle resides in a rural community north of Carmel on her family’s farm.   In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and animals.  Her favorite thing to do is ride one of her horses around their property. Michelle also loves to travel; and although beaches are a great getaway, she also likes to travel out west.
